For many people diagnosed with breast cancer, one of the unexpected side effects of treatment is a long-lasting financial burden.
Breast cancer is one of the costliest types of cancer to treat, and the financial toll can make an overwhelming situation even more devastating for patients and their families. Between insurance issues, medical leave, out-of-pocket payments, and hidden expenses, the bills and stress can be crushing — even for those who have health insurance.
Breastcancer.org’s new Special Report explores the major causes of treatment-related financial problems and the steps you can take to make costs more manageable. We interviewed experts and patients, did a nationwide online survey, and conducted focus group research to better understand the financial burdens patients are facing.
Join us on October 18 to learn more about what’s in the Special Report and hear from doctors and advocates (details below) who are leading financial toxicity research and providing resources to people struggling with breast cancer costs.
Submit your questions for the experts when you register. Everyone who signs up will receive the video recording of the event.
